Rule changes for this year were to move the start time forward by one hour and introduce a new section for non-UK&CD entrants. Propagation on 40m favoured stations away from the centres of population with high rates achieved in the first 90 minutes. UP and YC were the best DX on this band, found by a few entrants around 16.00 to 16.30. On 80m, propagation was consistently good for inter-UK contacts until the last half hour, confirming the merit of the earlier start. Many contacts were made into Europe on both bands including some taking part in the HA-DX contest. HA stations were sending either a membership number or their two letter county code. In many cases entrants logged a zero as allowed in the rules where no serial number is sent.

Entrants are reminded to observe the frequency limits specified in the rules, particularly for 80m, a few QSOs were invalidated where points were claimed for contacts made above 3775kHz.

In the General Club category Three As CG overtook their close rival and last year's winner GMDX to take the Flight Refuelling ARS Trophy as the highest scoring club. De Montfort University ARS retained third place. In the Local Club category Camb-Hams are again the leaders but Aberdeen ARS improved their 2018 score to take second place and drop last year's runner up Cray Valley RS into third.

As might be expected the highest scoring individual leads the 400W section and in that position GM4AFF takes the Lichfield Trophy for the second year running. Reflecting the benefit of achieving a high score on 40m the next two places are also from north of the border with GM4Z (GM4ZUK) in second and GM2V (GM3WOJ) in third.

There was a closer finish in the 100W section with M0NAS in the lead with G3LDI in second and G5UM (G0MCV) in third.

Repeating success in 2018 G3SWC is the leading station in the 10W section followed by M0RYB/P in second and G4IDF in third.

Band leaders on 80m and 40m are G5PI (G4NBS) and GM2V (GM3WOJ) respectively.

This year there was a section for non-UK&CD entrants, in first place is PE1EWR followed by PA7WW and PD8DX.

Certificates have also been awarded to the highest placed teams of three, two and one in each club category.
