RSGB Contest Results Autumn Series DATA 2019
v4.158 by G4CLA

The third and final DATA event of the Autumn series saw 115 logs submitted with good support from PA and other EU countries. Whilst some reported difficult conditions, on balance most had an enjoyable outing, some lamenting the end of the series.

In the 100w Assisted category we find G3TBK in first place with M2A (G3ORY) in second place once again. M7V (M0VAA) settled for third spot. In the Unassisted 100w section M2E (G0RPM) took first place with G4FPH coming home second. 2E0RET placed third to complete the podium line-up.

The 10W Assisted section again saw five logs this time, with G6EES once again leading the pack. The 10w unassisted G4ABX with an excellent entry took the honours with G3SWC and 2E0EGS hot on his heels in second and third place respectively.

With this result in the winners of the Individual DATA tables are revealed. Congratulations to M7V (G0VAA), G6EES, G4ARI, and G3SWC for placing first in their respective sections.

With just two events to go, De Montfort University ARS have established a comfortable lead over Norfolk ARC in the General section whilst in the Local section Newbury & DARS has a nice lead over Grimsby ARS.

Our thanks to Simon Barnes-MI0SAI for running GI6XX to give away those valuable 5 point QSOs.

It has been a good year for RSGB DATA contesting with members participating with enthusiasm. It is gratifying to see good support from non-entrants and especially participation from our European neighbours. The DATA contesting now takes a rest in December and resumes with AFS in January. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful festive season.
