November 2020 80m Autumn Series SSB contest

This was the final 80m Autumn Series SSB Contest for 2020. 236 logs were received from eleven countries (DL, G, GM, GW, I, LA, LY, OE, OH, PA and SM). The number of non-entering participants was 185.

Thank you to Nigel G0GDA who activated the bonus station G6XX from his QTH near Sittingbourne in Kent and he made 189 QSOs.

Some entrants still appear not to understand that all contests in this series have a 'Le Mans' start. This means that entrants must not transmit during the two minutes immediately before the contest start time or use any other method to reserve a frequency. This month, eight stations were observed breaking this rule and each has had five points docked from their score. Also, eight stations were observed operating beyond the end of the contest and have been penalised by losing the QSOs completed beyond the end of the contest. Entrants are reminded that all QSOs must be completed before the end of the contest.

The first 80m Club Championship SSB contest is on Monday 1st February starting at 2000 UTC.
