DX Contest 2021

This year, entries returned to normal levels with 132 stations appearing in the tables.

The number of overseas entrants was 50% higher than the UK&CD contribution, aided by the fact that, as in previous years, our contest ran concurrently for part of the time with others, and several stations entered logs for our contest as well as their own.  In total, 25 DXCCs from 4 continents appeared in the overseas tables.

In the UK&CD sections the top two stations were once again Dave M7W (G3TBK) and Graham, G4FNL.  However, whilst last year's win was by the slimmest of margins, this time Dave triumphed comfortably.

For the first time, an Affiliated Society (club) competition was introduced, where single-op entrants in the UK&CD could contribute to a club's score.  29 clubs were represented although the majority only fielded one member.  The winning club was Grimsby, thanks in no small part to the fact that they count Dave, M7W as one of their members.

This year's major award winners are

Dave, M7W (G3TBK), who retains the T.E. Wilson G6VQ Trophy (CW only).

Nick, M5DX (G4FAL) who wins the Powditch Trophy (Mixed mode) for the first time in 15 years.

Dave, M0K (G8FMC) a first-time winner of the Whitworth Trophy (SSB only)

These were by no means the only noteworthy performances, however, and congratulations go to all those who won certificates.

Thanks also go to those stations who submitted checklogs.

Please note that certificates can be auto-generated by all entrants by use of the drop-down filters, e.g. CW/ASSISTED/12-HOURS
