2.3GHz Trophy Contest
This contest, together with the sister 23cm Trophy Contest, are the final two events in the VHF Championship. The frequencies involved mean that they are usually quiet events and 2026 was no exception.
There were 21 entries (17 in 2025).
In Open ODX was provided by ON4CJQ/P in a QSO with M1B (G1YBB) at 562km. In SF it was G4ODA's QSO with DR9A at 751km, an impressive qso at almost 200km further than any other valid qso and verified from DR9A's log. One suspects the involvement of a large and conveniently located aircraft. Conditions were otherwise reported poor and activity low.
This event is partly co-ordinated with a IARU Region 1 contest and the R1 logs were obtained and were used to assist with adjudication.
