2025 Affiliated Society Contest 432 MHz

The final event of the 2024/5 Superleague attracted 98 entrants, 8 fewer than last year and the lowest number since 2014.  Overall participation was also down with just 75 non-entrants appearing in the logs.  Within this number, 26 were in France, 12 in Germany and 2 in the Netherlands. The number of clubs who competed (40), however, was equal to the average for the last 10 years.

Opinions on propagation varied, but the fact that there were only six QSOs in excess of 750km reflects the disappointment expressed by several entrants.  The best of these was between G4ODA and DH3NAN at a distance of 834km.

This competition often seems to produce predictable results and it is perhaps no surprise to see that the Camb-Hams `A' Team lifted the G0ODQ trophy for the 13th time as the highest scoring Affiliated Society and Richard GD8EXI also made it 13 times in a row as the best Single Operator.  In contrast, the top places in the Open Section, listed below, are unfamiliar occupants to the podium.

Congratulations to all the certificate winners.
