4^th 144MHz Backpackers Contest - 1^st August 2026

The 4^th Backpackers competition saw 21 logs submitted in the two sections 5B, 9 logs, 25H, 8 logs and 3 Check logs. Reading through the soapboxes the WX was really appreciated and conditions were mostly good. Overall, entrants enjoyed the event.

This is the fourth of the five competitions that make up the Championship.

In section 5B, M0XPO/P was first with a superb ODX of 931km ahead of the second placed G4XZL/P with M0WML/P in third spot.

In section 25H, M0ICK/P came in first place with second placed going to G4GFI/P improving from their third place finish last time. G4HLX/P took third place on the podium.

Turning to the championship table, in the 5B Section, the three wins by GW1YBB/P in the first three events means they secured the section win and were notably absent this time allowing second place G4XZL/P to extend their grip on the position. In the 25H section however things are far from settled and all rests on the final event.
