50MHz UKAC SERIES - 2024

This year 35 entries were received in the General Club section (up by three on 2023) and 31 entries in the Local Club section (up by one). The average number of individual entries per month was 120, varying between a maximum of 141 in January and a minimum of 95 in December. The average number of (valid) callsigns appearing in entrants' logs was 208, varying between a maximum of 308 in June and a minimum of 153 in December. The peak in June was due to an extended (in terms of both duration and area covered) sporadic E event in which a remarkable 32% entrants had ODXs of more than 2000km.

The winning group in the General Club section is Northern Fells CG for the fourth consecutive year, with Wirral & DARC in second place for the third consecutive year. Third place was taken by Harwell ARC, up from sixth in 2023. In the Local Club section, the winning group is Parallel Lines CG for the second consecutive year. Second place is taken by Hereford ARS for the third consecutive year with Chesham & DARS in third place.

Looking now at individual entries, the Open section winner was G4ASR (also last year's winner) with GI4SNA taking second place (also for the second year). GI4SNA also receives a certificate for providing best DX to the highest number of entrants. In the Restricted section, G4CLA was winner for a highly creditable tenth consecutive year, followed by MW0LKX/P (up from 26th last year). In the Low Power section, GW1YBB/P took first place (having also taken first place as G1YBB/P for the previous four years), and G6HPR/P (in second place in 2023) took second place.

Congratulations to all the certificate winners, who are listed below.

The first 50MHz UKAC of 2025 takes place on Thursday 9th January commencing at 2000 UTC
