RSGB Contest Results 5th 144MHz Backpackers 2023

5th Backpackers Contest

The concluding event in this year's series received 20 entries and one checklog.  Conditions were universally described as favourable - as one entrant commented 'Great ending to the series with nice Wx and good tropo', a sentiment shared by many.

In the 5B section, Andrew, G4XZL/P came out on top followed by John, GW4CZB, both of which were sufficient to secure their places on the final podium.

In the 25H category, Wayne, MW0LKX/P managed to turn the tables on last time's winner Steve, G0EAK/P.

Please note that the provisional contest calendar for next year shows the first outing of the Backpackers and Hilltoppers Contest starting on Sunday 9 May at 1100.   Hope to hear you all then.
