70MHz Trophy Contest

There were 48 entries (72 in 2024).  This may have had some connection with the wx with several stations noting poor wx.  G4HLX/P notes 'WX very wet, got drenched during setup, periods of static rain giving S9+ noise. '  An English summers day, of course.

For most entrants activity died out quite quickly and only a few QSO's were made in the last couple of hours.  Postcode mults did, at least, make for some incentive to continue operating.  Conditions and activity levels were notable lower than the 2024 edition.  Your Adjudicator managed 81 qso's in 2024 but only 55 in 2025 with an identical station.  The scores overall reflect a similar pattern.

Although strong continental wideband interference was visible on the bandscope at the start of the contest but no UK stations made any Es QSO's.  G4RGK was seeing SP stations at the start of the contest but on FT8.

Overall contest UK ODX was achieved when G8XVJ/P worked DL2OM at a distance of 713km.
