RSGB Contest Results Jubilee VHF 2022
v4.158 by G4CLA

Platinum Jubilee Tournament

This Tournament was a celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The Tournament comprised three separate mini-contests each of 70 minutes duration, two on HF and one of VHF.

The Jubilee CW Contest was well supported and enjoyed by all, with contacts being made inter UK and also with many European and a few DX stations. Unfortunately, one UK station used an inappropriate prefix and all QSOs with this station had to be declared invalid. The 40m band was the main inter UK band, but 20m was used for longer distance contacts. A few stations also managed to make some QSOs on 80m.

The Jubilee VHF Contest was run solely on the 2m band and attracted 28 entries and one very useful checklog from GB70E - many thanks. A few stations managed to catch a very brief Sporadic-E opening in the closing minutes of the contest that resulted in a handful of QSOs with Italian stations.

The Jubilee SSB Contest attracted 51 entries with five GB70 stations submitting checklogs. It was good to receive logs from three stations for whom this was their first foray onto a competitive event.
