RSGB Contest Results March 144 432MHz 2025

March 144/432 MHz 2025

The first contest of the VHF Championship can often be problematic because winter hasn't quite gone away.  But no entrants mentioned the weather as a problem for them, unusually. Conditions seemed to have been average at best.

Entries were up slightly up overall on 2024.  On 144MHz there were 94 entrants (80 in 2024) and on 432MHz 66 (2024 67).  Contest ODX was achieved on 144MHz by M6R with their QSO with OK2O at 1111km.  On 432MHz it was G3M with their QSO with DR7W at 834km.

The Open section of these contests continue to be poorly supported with five entrants on 144MHz and just two on 432MHz.  Things maybe about to change as both Blacksheep CG (G8T) and Trimingham CG (M6R) are in a build phase putting together big stations and perhaps they will challenge G3M's long winning streak in 2026.

As usual Region 1 logs were obtained and were used as part of the adjudication.

Several stations had their entries treated as checklogs because they were not RSGB members.  One of the many advantages of RSGB membership is being able to enter Championship events.

Congratulations to all winners and runners up, who together with stations identified, have been awarded certificates.
