This was the 29th running of the Backpackers contest and, despite the relatively modest number of entrants, continues to provide a good challenge for those who venture out.

Many congratulations to Steve G1YBB/P who will once again see his callsign engraved on the Backpackers trophy (for the 8th time). Stevecontinues to be 'the one to beat'.  Incredibly, since his first appearance in this contest in 2016, in only one event (his very first) has he failed to score 1000 points. Thanks to a win in the 4th event, Bob, G0KYS/P improved on last year's 9th place to take the runner up spot, and John, G(W)4CZB/P finished in third place for the second year running.

The Hilltoppers contest saw Wayne, MW0LKX/P retain his place at the top of the table for the second consecutive year with runner up Steve G0EAK/P once again a creditable second place.  Neill, G4HLX/P's win in the final event was enough to lift him into the final podium place.
