RSGB Contest Results Overall UKAC 2025
v4.182.1 by G4CLA

This year's VHF UK activity Contests attracted entries form 69 General Clubs, 48 Local Clubs and 549 individual entrants. Local clubs are defined as those whose members all live or operate within 80km of the club's (virtual) meeting place and General Clubs whose members are more widely dispersed. If your club fits the Local Club definition then you can apply to be listed as such by emailing afs.query@rsgbcc.org.

The Northampton RC pushed up from second place in 2024 (in the disguise of Chesham & DARS) to top the table in the Local Clubs Section this year, with Hereford ARS moving up from third to second. Northampton scored the maximum 1000 points in all but the SHF events, which was won by Spalding & DARS. They are therefore awarded both the Bolton Wireless Club Trophy (as overall winners) and the G6NB Trophy (as 144MHz band winners).

Having won the Local Section in 2023 and 2024, the Parallel Lines CG entered the General Club section this year, allowing some of their alumni members to contribute to the team effort, and in doing so managed to push the Northern Fells, who have won this section for the last four years, down into second place. They therefore now have both the 2025 UKAC Club Challenge Trophy as overall winners and the 2025 UKAC 144MHz Club Trophy for their performance in the 2m event to add to their trophy cabinet.

The individual Scores table gives a hint as to how the Parallel Lines CG did so well in the club section this year, with 4 of their members in the top five places and another two in the top ten. Pete G4CLA secured the G4DEZ Award as the overall winner, with Keith (G4ODA) close behind in second place.

New entries in the top 10 this year, include G4ASR from 40th to 6th, G0FEH from 16th to 8th, G4HWA from 11th to 4th and M8VCC from 12th to 9th. Other entrants making the top ten this year include G0EAK and G3SQQ. Darrell M8VCC (2E0VCC) is also awarded the Intermediate Shield as the highest placed Intermediate Licensee and Andy 2E0VPX is this year's runner-up in that category. David, M7DQO is the highest placed Foundation Licensee and claims the Foundation Shield, ahead of Gary, M7LHE.

Roger, EI8KN continues to be the highest-placed non-UK entrant, followed by Mark, EI3KD in second. There were 25 entries from non-UK stations this year.

The following are also of worthy mention.

  • Steve G0EAK, was again highest placed entrant having entered all events as a portable station.
  • Highest Placed 2025 UKAC Newbies EI3KD (#59 and #2 non-UK) and G4BP (#61).
  • Largest table position improvement G4AWP (325 places) and 2E0TXQ (321 places).
  • John G3SQQ who entered all events this year and Carl G0NZI, who still has hasn't missed a single event since 2022.
  • Stewart G0LGS who has maintained his lead in the list of the number of entries received since 2012, see this link

A big thank you to everyone who participated this year! Even if you only submitted one log, your contribution matters. The more active stations we have, the more enjoyable these contests become for everyone.

I'd also like to express my gratitude to the other RSGB adjudicators: Ian (G0FCT) for 2m, Quin (G3WRR) for 6m and 23cms, John (G3XDY) for SHF and Stephen GW4SHF for 4m, for their hard work throughout the year.

Pete, G4CLA
