    GM3POI
Poor Condx Tonight Auroral index at 7

    GM3VTY
aurora. very bad so gave up

    GM6NX
    Ic-756 proii into a dipole
suspected antenna damage over cold snap
as struggled to qso hardly anyone !

    GW3KDB
    FT1000mp 100w Dipole at 45ft.

    GW4BLE
Saggy dipole covered in snow and ice plus QRP not conducive
    to big score.

    GW4BVE
Conditions better than expected. IC-7700  and SD logging performed excellently.

    M0IAA
    v noisy

    M0JMO
Using a PM-SDR Receiver and an Icom IC-7000 Transmitter

    M0MDF
Condx not too bad later on.

    M0NKS
Found band very noisy with stations just on the noise level.

    M0PTO
50w logged using SD.  Great software.

    M0RBE
Difficult conditions no GM and only one GW station heard.

    M0RBG
    Very enjoyable despite poor conditions

    M0RMW
    First contest

    M0SCG
Very poor conditions for most of the contest with qsb
It would have been helpful for stations operating on
spot freq to give their callsigns more freqently
    instead of just calling QRZ

    M0TUB
Logging issues - dropped a few points on dupes - sorry to those that lost a point

    M0WTG
no propagation. very very hard work.

    M0XDX
    Conditions gradually improved after 2100.

    M0XIE
Really dissapointing start. Very slow progress.
No-one could hear me. QRM or my gear?!

    M0XJP
Typical first contest of the year very low score
nobody heard me until 15 minutes from the end but
always enjoyable! I'll get a proper aerial soon...

    M0XSM
    Excellent logger

    M1PTR
Started slow then picked up in last half hour.

    M5ALG
Conditions at start were bad but improved later
    SD flawless as usual.

    M6CMG
    How can a 100w s9+ station not hear a 10w station?

    MM0BQI
Arrived home from Scouts at 2100 expecting to work loads of stations but only managed FOUR.  Heard another six in the noise but no chance of raising them. I believed the aurora looked good! Maybe the first hour was better? CU all next week.

    ON3ND
Sorry just a minimum of free time this evening... HNY to all British friends...

    PC600P
Hoped to reach many stations with the special callsign for 600 years city rights of Purmerend; however conditions the first hour were quite abysmal and only the last 30 minutes did some improvement show; this limited the number of contacts to just 50 but will try for another go in the may sessions. those interested may look up the www.qrz.com/pc600p website for more information.

    SF3A
First time in this contest. I will try again... Fun even though most stations didn't hear my weak calls. Heard almost 40 stations but managed to work only 3.

    SOAPBOX:

    2E0KXD
    Terrible propagation!

    2E0NCG
Condx awful until 2100. Some people were obviously running way more than the 100w limit - shame this can't be clamped down on. See you all in February!

    2E0RCV
Good fun.  Not typical January conditions.

    G0AAA
    FT1000mp(100W) to dipole at 65ft.
UK Propagation was very poor initially but improved steadily.
Auroral activity meant the GM stns were unusually weak.
So unfortunately for them they didn't get their usual winter advantage.

    G0ADH
Thanks for all of the patience shown with my speech
    difficulties.

    G0AJJ
Very very noisy a real struggle!
Thanks to everyone who repeated info.

    G0BNC
    Bad tvi? Possible snow

    G0BWB
    Great Fun

    G0CLP
Awful condx until abt 2110 in the north
    role on the spring!

    G0DWV
    Condx better than expected

    G0EUN
    Very hard work tonight.

    G0FYX
Band noisy. SD worked well for logging.

    G0GDU
Impossible to hold a run frequency and hard to get my QRP signal heard by those running
Suffered with power line noise due to the falling snow / sleet

    G0GFQ
    Noise abysmal

    G0JLF
    Noisy

    G0LHZ
    Qrm qrm qrm

    G0MLY
Absolutely awful start! QRM galore, no-one seemed to hear me and so made only 15 QSOs by halfway. Then I found a free-ish spot to run and much better. Whether propagation changed I do not know but the second half was far more fun than the first. Glad I didn't give up! Thanks to all for QSOs.

    G0MTN
    Challenging.

    G0NXA
Available only for the last 30 minutes so S & P but found NO other CARA members heard!

    G0PEB
    Good fun using 10W QRP

    G0RXA
Tough going but worth the effort

    G0TZZ
Still no computer hopefully for the next one. Never tried data without PC should be different. HI

    G0VGS
Horrid condx!  Not good for us up in the frozen north

    G0VOK
Very busy but lots of QRM and QSB. Great Fun.

    G1NGE
    first go at contesting

    G1RVP
    better conds. after 2100 hrs.

    G2BKZ
Had a good laugh with some of the lads with numbers..I.E "21 my age" "7/6d was she worth it?" Etc.

    G3GHS
    Very good

    G3HRH
Very noisy band but plenty of activity. A run all evening for the first time

    G3IZD
Very few stations readable for first 50 mins then slight improvement. Strangely no sigs from  GM. Let us hope conditions improve later on as they did on previous years otherwise stns in N of G seriously disadvantaged

    G3KAF
Local S9+ noise making copy difficult.

    G3KNU
SD worked great pity conditions didn't.

    G3LDI
Impossible to find a clear freq very noisy band usual Jan prop

    G3LHJ
What awfull noisy condxs - very hard graft for little
    results.- Roll on the spring.

    G3LIK
Difficult with long skip to start with but became a
lot better as the contest continued

    G3MXH
Very noisy as usual but lots of activity with many
    signals down in the noise.

    G3NLY
A dire start. A decent freq. but incoming sigs sounded like
fluttering weak dx. Things improved after c. 21.00 but came
    too late.

    G3OLB
Terrible racket but had a good run after 20 minutes of S&Ping. 100 watts TS850 and dipole at 60 feet.

    G3PDH
Usual tough going from this part of the country again in January

    G3PHO
Obviously a night for the Southern stations.Terrible propagation into Sheffield and did not suit my 100ft inverted V doublet @ 30ft.! The band started to improve for inter G at 2115 a little late in the day. Heard one op who had worked 5 stations in the first 30 seconds of the contest .... that takes some doing!

    G3PYC
Conditions very poor at start but opened up at 20-48hrs
SD is a must for me

    G3SEM
Sadly I neglected to carefully read the Rules. TKS to G4LMw I was advised of the error of my ways. My apologies to all.

    G3SNU
Good condx for january-both long and short skip

    G3SVD
Another enjoyable contest. I was expecting it to be hard going but although there were a couple of slow patches  I found it good fun with contacts coming along at a good rate. Now to get ready for the data modes event.

    G3SWC
I think I found the definition of noise!!

    G3TBK
    FT1000MP 100w to dipole at 75 feet.

    G3TKF
Very noisey conditions - came in waves

    G3TXF
Another excellent CC event. Good to see such a large turn-out. Unlike in last week's CW session this time the GMs were barely audible. It never ceases to amaze how dramatic the change in conditions can be both within a given CC and between different CCs.

    G3UJE
    FT1K MkV Field + Inv Vee @ 100' + Wintest v.4

    G3VCA
As usual for January difficult start which eased after 2100. Icom 756 & 2 Wave Delta Loop

    G3VDB
Very hard work against QRM QRN and band congestion. All S&P and simply was not being heard even on a "clear" channel never mind break the "pile-ups".

    G3VMW
Terrible conditions - gave up after 30 minutes

    G3VUS
condx here in the North were terrible with few stations
audible and those not hearing us.  Awful score

    G3WYW
Band noisy till about 2100. QRP difficult

    G3YEC
Lots of static and fading at commencement.

    G3YHV
Great contest but very noisy !

    G3ZBU
great conditions as it is normally pretty dire
    at this time of year!

    G3ZGC
Well with such poor conditions its great to be QRP!
My noise level is S9 all the time in the evenings on SSB.
I can only hear properly in the early hours!
Amazing to work 39 with the set up. IC7700 10w to 132 ft wire bent into 55 ft garden.

    G3ZRJ
Much prefer cw but glad to help out the club
have to get my ears re-tuned for ssb

    G3ZVW
Conditions OK at the start and good at the end.
Shame about the bit in the middle!

    G4ABX
    Another tough night for QRP!

    G4DBW
Not a lover of SSB contests - especially QRP. Very hard going. It's so much easier with QRP CW

Noise noise and poor propogation made it hard work in
the first half. Very crowded but managed to get a run
going later on top of what seemed deliberate jammimg.
    SD worked perfectly.

    G4EBK
