4^th 144MHz Backpackers Contest of 2007

Low activity, thunderstorms and floods were just some of the conditions endured by the majority of the entrants. A few entrants reported good sunny weather! One entrant commented "while the weather may have put off the portables, where were the fixed stations?" Only half the entrants were able to work any continental DX.

The Oldham Radio Club had to curtail their activities after only 1 hour when one of their operators became ill.

The 10W Single Operator section was won by Rhys Thomas, GW4RWR/P with Dave Hewitt, GW8ZRE/P in second place.

The 3W Multi-operator section was won by M0SGB/P with the Oldham Radio Club G1ORC/P in second place.

The 3W Single Operator section was won by Charlie Jordan, GW0PZO/P with the Real Backpackers Contest Group, G3CWI/P in second place.
