2nd 50MHz Contest 2007

Activity and entry levels in this event were slightly down on last year, although there was some SporadicE propagation to EA and CT towards the end. Perhaps the foggy and rainy weather discouraged some potential entrants.

The Open section was a close-run thing, with Alan G0IFC operating G4TSW beating Trev G2KF/P for the top slot. Bryn G4DEZ had a commanding lead in the SF section, with Dave G8ZRE as runner-up. Those stations will receive certificates. The lowest power declared in the SF section was 50W, so there's no 25W/single antenna certificate to award this time round.

A 100% electronic entry made the adjudicator's job much easier - more and more people are entering using the online forms at rsgbcc.org/vhf to submit entries from their paper logs.
