At last this years May contest was not plagued by poor weather, although conditions were still described by most entrants as poor or flat.

The A1 contest group G4ZAP/P take the honours yet again in the Multi-Op section although by a much smaller margin this year from the Colchester Contest Group, G0VHF/P
Roger Piper, G3MEH wins the Single Op fixed section from Steve Shenstone, M5BFL.
Colin Potter, M0DDT wins the 6 hour single operator fixed station section this year with Paul Selwood, G3YDY in second place.
The Moors CG moved to the top spot in the 6 hour others section, from the Burton A.R.C in second place.
Graham Coyne, G3YJR and Ken Punshon, G4APJ were the highest placed fixed stations running 25w and a single antenna in the SF and 6S sections respectfully.
The leading intermediate and foundation licensees, Simon Smith 2E0VAG and Bob Treacher M3RCV.
Frank, PE1EWR continues to support our contests and is the highest placed overseas entrant.

This year the adjudicator received two bad signal complaints about a particular entrant. That station has been informed and if any future problems are reported his score may be penalised. It is essential that if you do receive a bad signal complaint you take it seriously and don't just dismiss it because of proximity or possible receiver overload, especially if problems are reported by more than one station. Take steps to investigate the problem and ask the reporting station to let you know if it continues or reoccurs. Also, if you are reporting an interference problem, make sure that the station concerned is aware of how serious the problem is. If you are going to make a complaint to the adjudicator inform them of the action you intend to take.
