2nd 144MHz Backpackers Contest of 2008

The thirty-one contestants enjoyed good weather during this contest. Unfortunately, the band conditions were not so good with deep QSB and little continental DX available.

The 3W Single Operator category continues to be popular with over half of the entrants choosing to enter this section.

The 10W Multi-operator section was won by GW4RWR/P with G0HDV/P in second place.

The 10W Single Operator section was won by Paul Selwood, G8BGV/P. The runner-up in this section was Tony Judge, G1ARU/P.

The 3W Multi-operator section was won by Steven Brown, M0SGB and Nicola Brown, 2E0DNB operating as M0SGB/P with the Wigan-Douglas Valley ARS, G3BPK/P in second place.

The 3W Single Operator section was won by Dave Hewitt, GW8ZRE/P. The runner-up was Tony Jay, G8JAY/P.
