September 2024 80m Autumn Series SSB contest

This was the first 80m Autumn Series SSB Contest for 2024. 152 logs were received from seven countries (DL, EI, G, GM, GW, LA, and PA). The number of non-entering participants was 73.

Conditions were challenging during the contest with many stations reporting the band was very noisy with high levels of static.

Thank you to Tim G4FJK who activated the bonus station G6XX from his QTH near Tiverton. Tim made 163 QSOs.

Entrants are reminded that all contests in the 80m Autumn Series have a 'Le Mans' start. This means that entrants must not transmit during the two minutes immediately before the contest start time or use any other method to reserve a frequency.

Entrants are also reminded that all contest exchanges must be completed before the end of the contest.

The next 80m Autumn Series contests are the CW contest on Wednesday 11th September and the DATA contest on Thursday 26th September. The next Autumn Series SSB contest is on Thursday 24th October.
