VHF Contest Committee announcement (by Andy G4PIQ)

As a result of your feedback the recent survey, for the 2017 UKAC rules, we’ve introduced the concept of General and Local Clubs. We’ve received a lot of feedback that having to use the Virtual Meeting Point (VMP) for the AFS events, the HF Club Championship and the Local section of the UKACs, this is too restrictive. Consequently, we’ve added flexibility for Clubs to set a separate VMP for the UKAC events. Clubs wishing to do this should email the UK&CD Postcode or UK&CD 6 or 8 digit QTH locator of their VMP to afs.query@rsgbcc.org before the first relevant contest entry of each calendar year.

Because the first UKAC event has already taken place this year, we will accept notifications of VMP for the UKAC local section through to the end of January 2017 or before the first relevant contest entry of the year – whichever is the later.

    73,
    Andy Cook, G4PIQ
    Chair, RSGB VHF Contest Committee
